Hardware and Software Purchases

What You Need to Know

FREIGHT AND INSTALLATION
Quoted prices for goods do not include freight or installation unless those items are expressly included in BTA’s written quote. If freight or installation is not expressly included in the quote, those services will be charged as additional items at the rates agreed between BTA and the customer, or, if no rates are stated in the quote, at BTA’s then-current standard rates.

 

PRICING AND GOODS AVAILABILITY

Unless stated otherwise, quotations will remain valid for a period of seven (7) days from the date of issue. Provision of goods is subject to availability at the time of acceptance.
All products, pricing, and other information contained in BTA’s quotes are based on the latest information available from the vendor and are subject to change without notice. Changes may occur due to tariffs imposed by government authorities, material or resource shortages, increases in manufacturing costs, or other factors beyond BTA’s reasonable control. 
Where such changes occur, pricing may be adjusted or purchase orders may be cancelled. BTA will notify you of any changes as soon as practicable and will seek approval prior to proceeding.  The customer will be given the option to cancel without penalty if the price changes.
BTA reserves the right to cancel this quote and any associated purchase orders arising from pricing errors.  BTA reserves the right to correct unintended errors and/or omissions.
BTA accepts no responsibility or liability for products being withdrawn from sale by the Vendor. Should an item become unavailable, BTA will contact you to discuss an alternative as a courtesy but without obligation to provide.

 

PAYMENT

Payment is required prior to delivery of goods or services to customer unless otherwise agreed to by BTA.
Payment may be made by direct deposit.  Please email your remittance to accounts@bta.com.au. Our bank account details are:

OWNERSHIP

No title to goods supplied by BTA will pass to the customer until those goods are paid for in full.
Risk to the goods shall pass to the customer upon the delivery of the goods.  The customer shall be obliged to maintain and keep the same in good order and condition as at the time of delivery.
 

INSTALLATION

Pricing for goods do not include installation. Installation, if required, will be charged at BTA's standard hourly rates and will be subject to multipliers for after hours, weekends or public holidays. For full details of service rates, please contact our office.
Where it has been quoted, installation costs are provided as an estimate only. Invoicing will be based on actual hours worked whether less or more than the estimated hours shown on this quotation.
 

LIABILITY

While all care is taken in the provision of goods, BTA accepts no liability for your installation or other use of those goods. 
You are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered are suitable for their intended use by you and we are not liable to you for any product you order which is unsuitable for your intended use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BTA is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from the customer’s installation or use of the goods, or from the goods being unsuitable for a purpose not expressly confirmed by BTA in writing. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where BTA is liable for defective or undelivered goods, BTA’s liability is limited, at BTA’s option, to either: (a) refund the price paid for the affected goods; or (b) replace the affected goods.
 

WARRANTIES

Warranties for all hardware and software shall be supplied by the manufacturer or distributor of the hardware or software. BTA offers no additional warranty on hardware or software products.

RETURNS

The customer must inspect the goods as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery and notify BTA in writing within 7 days after delivery of any visible damage, incorrect supply or defect apparent on reasonable inspection. If a defect is not reasonably apparent on inspection, the customer must notify BTA within 7 days after first becoming aware of the defect. 
Goods returned because they do not comply with the customer’s order must be returned in original condition, unless the non-compliance or defect prevents this. 
Change-of-mind returns for correctly supplied goods are only accepted with BTA’s prior written approval and may be subject to a handling or re-stocking fee of 15% of the product price plus any delivery costs.
Preconfigured and/or custom ordered products cannot be returned.
 

ACCEPTANCE

The signed acceptance of BTA’s quote and/or submission of a purchase order by the customer to BTA shall be deemed an acceptance of these terms and conditions.
